SWIMMING POOL PUMPS.
Whether your swimming pool pump needs repairing or replacing we can do this for you.
We can repair most models of pumps. We will remove your pump and then, upon inspection, give you a quote for the repair. If the quote for the repair is quite costly, we will also give you a quote for a new replacement pump, if you would prefer to go for this option.
We can supply and install any model of pump at the request of the owner. If the new pump is a different model to the old one, the installation cost can be higher, as the pipework will, in most cases, need to be modified. If it is possible to install the same model, it will not normally be necessary to change the pipework and the fitting will be cheaper.
SWIMMING POOL FILTERS.
Most swimming pool filters will last a long time if they are regularly serviced by a professional pool maintenance company.
A pool filter will normally require a sand change every 3 to 5 years depending on how heavily the pool is used. In some cases the filter sand can need changing earlier if people swim whilst using sun tan lotion on a regular basis. This can clog up the sand and reduce the effectiveness of the filtration, thus affecting the clarity of the water. This process will take between 2 to 3 hours for a standard size filter. Every time we do a sand change we will fully service the filter, changing all the seals and collector arms if these are perished or worn. We can also change filter sand for eco glass filter media. This lasts longer than sand and will improve the clarity of the water.
We can also supply and install any new filter if the old one is cracked or broken.
SALT WATER CHLORINATORS.
Salt water chlorinators are especially recommended for those people who suffer from skin irritation due to the use of chemicals in the pool, and also for those people who struggle with adding chemicals to the pool correctly. They produce chlorine in a controlled way by passing salt water though a titanium cell that is charged by an electrical current. This process is called salt water electrolosis.
By installing one of these systems it will cut down on the use of other chemicals in the pool, although it is necessary to keep a careful eye on the PH level of the water. We recommend installing an automatic PH regulator with this system to avoid getting a large build up of calcium on the cell.
The other benefits of this system are a cleaner and more sparkling pool, softer water and no chemical odours in the water.
MAGNAPOOL HYDROXINATOR IQ.
The MagnaPool Hydroxinator IQ offers the bather the ultimate experience of pure, clean and soft water swimming, without any chlorine odours, or any irritation or damage to the skin, eyes or hair. This is achieved by the natural claryfying properties of magnesium in MagnaPool minerals, combined with the fine filtration of Crystal Clear glass media and electrolosis generated by the Hydroxinator IQ. This way the water will be disinfected, healthy and perfectly balanced at all times.
Any pool can be converted to this system, but it will be necessary to change the filter sand for Crystal Clear glass media, and in the case of converting a salt water pool, it will be necessary to change the water.
It will not be necessary to use any other sanitising chemicals with this system, such as chlorine, floculants or algaecides.
As with the salt water chlorinators, it is recommended to use an automatic PH regulator to prevent any damage to the cell.
UV CLARIFIERS.
UV pool clarifiers are mainly used to cut down on the use of chemicals in the swimming pool, but do not work efficiently enough to sanitise the pool on their own, especially at high temperatures. They do cut down on chlorine consumption by up to 90%, and the UV light eliminates all algae, so adding extra algaecides will not be necessary. They also eliminate chlorine by-products, making the pool healthier, safer and easier to manage.
SWIMMING POOL HEATERS.
An electric swimming pool heater is the best solution if you wish to use your pool all year round. There are many different heating units on the market, with a big difference in price from the less efficient models to the most energy efficient models. Some of the cheaper units may not be able to heat the pool throughout the winter months, but will extend the bathing time to the spring and autumn instead of just the summer.
Another option is solar heating, but these systems are only going to heat your pool for a maximum of six months per year, as the daytime temperature needs to be equal or higher than the temperature in the pool to be able to add more heat to the water.
We can offer a competitive quote on all of the most popular models on the market and install them alongside your filtration system.
Upon request to install a heating system it is always necessary to check that the power supply going into a property is sufficient to run the unit. In some cases it will also be necessary to upgrade the power supply which can make the installation more costly.
MADE TO MEASURE SWIMMING POOL COVERS.
When installing a pool heating system it is highly recommended that a swimming pool cover is also installed at the same time. This should be kept on the pool at all times when you are not bathing to make the cost of heating more efficient. It is especially important that if the cover is off during the day, it must be put on at night to ensure that any heat gained will not be lost overnight.
We can offer you made to measure pool covers from our suppliers in a range of different materials and thicknesses.
All covers are fitted with an aluminium roller with stainless steel stand to make it easier to remove the cover without damaging the material.
